Interest rates have hit the lowest of lows, and you can now get 40 year mortgages!! I'm sure you must know that you can now buy your home WITH NO DOWN PAYMENT! What's stopping you? You need to seriously look at all the money that you are paying in rent now (making someone else rich) and start putting those montly payments into your own equity. It may seem a little scary. Make sure you work with a realtor that will guide you step by step, provide constant communication so that you are never surprised. I can do this.
